Great replacement for my older TS9120 Printer
My 5+ year old TS9120 Cannon hit the dust and couldn’t print color anymore after about 8,000 printed pages. I decided to stay with Cannon brand since I had such good luck with my TS9120. This one is a good replacement. Prints faster and does evertyhing I needed it to do. I need a printer that prints CD /DVD’s and this one prints just like my older TS9120. Nice little printer. I still have my TS9120, just have it set to print black only .

    Solid large format printer
Has direct feed from the back of the printer for heavy large format papers

    Good Print Quality
To start with, I bought this printer to handle an ID Card project. On researching I found out that it can print on PVC inkjet plastic cards. The output is so amazing plus it’s so easy to set up for me. The only issue I have is with the rear paper tray. It’s so fragile and may get broken with little pressure and it’s taking a lot of room/space on the desk when extended. The front paper tray too is too small for those heavy on printing. Although that doesn’t bother me. I would have given 5 star but for the following down sides:1. Fragile rear paper tray2. Small front paper tray3. Small ink cartridges especially for blackAs I keep using, if I come across any issue I may edit the review. So for now it’s serving the purpose and no regrets.

    Don’t waste your time.
I purchased this printer about a year ago, and ever since I’ve had issues with it, you might as well spend more money and buy a better printer or just buy a different brand altogether. The printer is nice for basic things, but when it comes to anything besides computer paper expect to wait 5 to 10 minutes for a single sheet to print out, I purchased this printer to make prints of my artwork, when I scan them it takes up to two minutes, after that like I said it can take anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes for the machine itself to read your work and then print it. I can’t even begin to tell you how many error codes, all the little things that this printer will do to stop itself from printing, I have lived in three separate places with this printer and it still can’t work with the Wi-Fi more than half the time. Majority of the time it will stop printing halfway through and spit you out an error code or tell you that it can’t connect to Wi-Fi, and good luck using your phone with this it doesn’t wanna link up only when it wants to. The printer prints out mediocre Prints, it may take 20 minutes but the majority of the color that you want to be there won’t be there I should’ve bought the Epson printer. Overall when I spent $500 on this piece of junk a year ago, I did not know what I was getting myself into, canon itself can’t provide an accurate description so I had to get on QVC and watch two middle-age women present it to me. Don’t waste your time with this printer. Unless you enjoy waiting an hour or two to print five pages, not to mention the feed slot on the back only excepts one piece of paper, have fun.

    Nothing But Problems!
There is nothing I like about this printer. Nothing. And for the price, I expected way more.I’ve had it for 2 days now, and have had nothing but problem after problem. For example:1. There are black streaks on the back of every single page I print now. Started after paper jammed.2. Went through 2 cleaning cycles to try to correct the issue, which used up HALF of my very expensive ink! I didn’t even do the deep clean, which warns you it will use a lot of ink.3. Ink goes FAST. I’ve literally printed less than 20 pages total since I got the printer, and cleaned it twice, and the ink it came with (at least the Cyan and Magenta) are over half gone!4. Anything other than standard printer paper jams like crazy in the lower paper cartridge. If you use slightly thicker paper, you MUST use the back paper tray, which sticks out quite a bit in the back, which means you have to keep the printer far away from the wall and drastically reduces precious desk space.5. There are lines across everything in the top 2 inches of anything I print. This is after using their automatic print head alignment feature and cleaning twice. I can’t use this printer for my business with lines across everything.6. Found out I cannot use off-brand ink cartridges, and I have to use Canon’s RIDICULOUSLY expensive ink. Nope. Not going to happen, Canon. Go ahead and be greedy. I’ll never buy another product from you as long as I live. I’ll just go back to Brother printers or try HP or Epson. Much less hassle!Keep in mind that I’ve only had this printer a couple of days and it’s already screwing up big time in many ways. I am definitely returning this printer!

    Great for everything, A+ machine
Before purshasing I did a crazy amount of research on all the Canon, Brother and HP models. Got this as a home printer at the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, which the main printing being letter but also a fair amount of large format 11×17 (ledger) spreadsheets. Have also printed photos to frame in 4×6, 5×7 and 8×10. Print quality and functionality is excellent across the board. This thing is not small and takes up a fair amount of desk space, but that comes with the territory if you want large format printing. It does eat ink at a decent clip, but I just order off-brand cartridges at a fraction of the cost and have had no issues to date. There is only one tray, so the best approach is to keep one size in the tray and one in the rear load. I keep letter in the tray, ledger in the rear and for the few times I need legal I just swap out the rear load. Duplex works great and scanning is also pretty good – has options to save to file, load into an email, ectetera. I’ve had no problems at all printing from WIFI as some reviews claimed – wifi sync has been flawless from computers and phones. the unit wakes up from a sleep and prints when I hit print – you just have to keep the panel open. Bottom line if you want something compact or the cheapest ink option this isn’t for you, but if your priority is maximum flexibility, features and solid performance this is your machine.
