Inexpensive Epson printer
I didnât like the fact that the paper feed in the back had a tendency to get stuck. Otherwise it was easy to set up and use. It prints, faxes and copies. The pages are high quality.

So glad I bought
So easy to use, love this printer

All inkjets suck. This sucks the least.
Itâs not expensive. Printing looks good and prints at an ok speed. The scanning app works reliably, even over network connection.

Firmware update causes printer to stop working 11-1-23
UPDATE 11-1-23 – Firmware update caused printer not to recognize 3rd party ink. Called support and they said that their was no option to bypass this, and that printer WILL NOT work with 3rd party ink. Now Im forced to drive 25 miles to buy ink, since I have to print something today, and spend $45 on genuine ink. AVOID THIS PRINTER!!!!!!!!Paper always jams, 3 times in 50 days of ownership and Ive only printed 5 times. But lets address the paper I use. I use HP Printer Paper, so not some cheap paper. I use this paper on 2 other printers with ZERO issues HP Printer Paper | 8.5 x 11 Paper | Copy &Print 20 lb | 1 Ream Case. So after 3 calls to Epson with 45 minute hold times each time, and then 30 minute trouble shooting, they say “we will send you a refurbished unit” and I said NO, I paid for a new one, send me a new one. Then waiting another 14 minutes for a “supervisor” to approve that, they are now sending me a replacement. Over the years I have owned Epson’s, and sadly this is the norm. Maybe stop paying Shaquille O’Neal to be your spokesperson, and focus on R&D. I should not of purchased it

Good purchase
Looked at several printers in the under-$150 price range and this one checked all of my boxes. I needed a color printer with auto document feed, two-sided printing and ethernet. Setup was straightforward as I read all the quick-start instructions before starting. It took me about an hour when it was all said and done. Many reviews say that their ink runs out too fast but I believe all printers are like that. Let’s face it – the manufacturers make their money on ink. For $99, buying this printer was an easy decision. Very happy so far.

Chromebook setup
I bought this to replace a failing printer, because of chromebook support and 2 sided printing. I have not used it hardly at all so far (1 day), but others may benefit from my chromebook experience. I did everything right for about 4 hours, over and over, but from the print page, chromebook would deliver the message “can’t connect to printer”. It detected the printer, but gave no explanation as to the failure. Here is how to set up chrome.Epson Smart Panel works good for finding the IP address, or get it from the printer itself1. Click on Time Icon, click settings Icon2. Scroll to Bottom, click Advanced3. Choose Printers, Epson WF-2930 Series will appear under “Add Printer” or “Your saved printers”4. Edit it –Enter the IP address, with a “:631” appended. It may do this automatically5. Choose IPP protocol6. Save7. do a Cntrl+p to bring up the print page This is where the message “Can’t connect to printer” may appear8. Change the destination from WF-2930, to something else. Then change it back. This last step fixed the problem for me. Chromebook SW does something in the Destination select, it does not do in the normal setup.

Was great for about 10 months
I did like the printer, hook up to WiFi was nice option and printed fairly well. At about the 10 month slot it started having vertical lines. I ran the fix on maintenance screen and helped a little bit still had the lines. Now it has decided to add some horizontal lines to the mix. Itâs also trying to print everything in 4X6 format. Iâm seriously looking at my baseball bat and giving the printer âThe lookâ One more issue and Iâm getting a new one. 1 years is good for a $100 printer, right?

Finally a printer that works. I searched for a printer that has a ethernet jack, because the wifi on 3 different printers wouldn’t connect to my network. I think it has something to do with Telus’ smart-banding where it automatically swaps from 5ghz to 2.4ghz.I didn’t want to mess with my network and disable 5ghz so I searched for a printer with an ethernet jack.Shockingly, the wifi on this printer ALSO DIDN’T connect to my network. But after plugging in an ethernet cable (which didnt even come with the printer…), it works great.
